So where have I been? Well, below is a map that details the travels I have completed in Europe towards the end of 2007. In short, I spent a number of months in my VW Golf clocking up some 20,000km driving up, down and across Europe! Some of the fun included bribing Eastern European Police and Border Guards and also breaking down in the Ukraine where not a word of English was spoken!

If your keen to read more about my final Euro Adventure, the following new diary entries tell the story:
It goes with out saying, but the most memorable part of this trip and all of my previous trips is the wonderful people I met along the way. Weather it be the Russian farmers in Moldova who took me in when my car died or my old mate Bogdan who showed me all over fantastic Slovenia, the number one memory I will have is the people. Thanks for making my adventure so fantastic!
So what’s been going on since I got back home? I arrived back in Brisbane in late October just in time for my 20 year High school reunion. I don't know if you like the idea of such things, but I had a ball! Only 30 or so guys made it out of a class of over 100, but it was a top night. If your keen to see what 20 years of living has done to me and my old I.G.S. mates, click here for a before and after page!
From the reunion in late October I headed South to my little sisters wedding in Gosford just north of Sydney. It was a wonderful day for one and all. Right about lunch time the gloomy gray skies were blown away, the sun came out and the perfect afternoon presenting its self! Congrats yet again guys!
After a good catch-up with friends and family in Sydney during November, I headed back to "Sunny Queensland" and my mum and dads place to take some time out and get fit for the summer with the ultimate goal being possibly doing a Triathlon at the end of the summer. I think I managed a bit over a month of getting fit before I had some bad luck and accidentally got a job!
As fate would have it, my old company from Holland contacted me about working for them here in Australia on New Years Eve. So having achieved a little bit of fitness, I soon found myself putting on the old suit and hopping the jet for a new project with my old company based in Melbourne. So after a quick stop in Sydney to say G'day to Shawn and Paula on their special day, I headed to Victoria and since the 21st of January 2008 here I have been discovering some of my own country I have never seen.
Well, I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and New Years break and 2008 is going well. I really enjoyed my first family holiday season in years and its fantastic to be back. I look forward to getting to know Australia all over again as 12 years is a long long time to be away from any where!
Lots of Hugs and Kisses
